Former Dallas City Councilmember Jaynie Schultz Joins Advisory Board of The Carl Sherman Group, LLC

DALLAS, TX — The Carl Sherman Group, LLC (TCSG) is proud to announce the appointment of former Dallas City Councilmember Jaynie Schultz to its Advisory Board. A respected civic leader, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Schultz brings more than three decades of experience in urban planning, community development, and mission-driven organizational leadership to the firm.

Schultz’s distinguished public service includes her tenure as Dallas City Councilmember for District 11 (2021–June 2025), during which she chaired the Workforce, Education and Equity Committee, and served on the Quality of Life, Transportation and Infrastructure, Ad Hoc General Investigating and Ethics, and Ad Hoc Professional Sports committees. Prior to her Council service, she contributed six impactful years of service to the Dallas City Plan Commission, including as Vice Chair from 2019–2020, and chaired the Commission’s Urban Design Committee throughout her appointment.

A trailblazer in business and philanthropy, Schultz has led and launched numerous impactful initiatives. As President of the Schultz Family Foundation, she developed visionary programs such as the Schultz Fellows, LearningFest, and the Center for Jewish Education. She founded Retreat Central, an innovative online platform connecting retreat planners with retreat venues, and co-founded the Garrett Creek Ranch Conference Center, which operated successfully for 25 years. Her leadership extends globally through roles with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, Moishe House Chairman’s Council, and several educational and community institutions.

Schultz and Sherman also serve together as Co-Chairs of the Black Jewish Coalition, whose mission is: “The Black / Jewish Coalition is dedicated to understanding and building on our shared history to effectively advocate on areas of mutual concern and build a maximally pluralistic society.” Their longstanding collaboration in this space reflects a shared commitment to bridge-building, strengthening social cohesion, and advancing cross-community partnerships—values that will further enrich Schultz’s role on the Advisory Board.
